Astraseal, based in Wellingborough are one of the UK’s largest and longest established Rehau fabricators and they have recently launched the new innovative Rio Flush door system from Rehau, adding this to their already extensive portfolio of products designed to help installers take advantage of the latest and most profitable industry trends.
National Sales Manager Jason Green discusses the product launch: “Rehau Rio is a viable and stylish alternative to timber, launching the complete system of windows and doors has already helped our trade customers win new business where the desired look is Flush Fit timber but where PVCu offers the benefits of easy care and great value for money”. We have been able to offer the Rio window system for some time now, not only in the standard weld but also the ever-popular timber joint look mechanical/weld. This enables our customers to offer different aesthetic options, enhanced by our extensive choice of hardware. This combined with full support from our Trade Office and competitive lead times means customers can meet ever tightening installation deadlines and area always fully informed. The response so far has been very positive, and we look forward to helping more installers take advantage of this great window system.”
Jason goes on to say “I’m pleased to announce that Astraseal have gone one step further with the introduction of the Rio flush fit door system. This new door innovatively uses Rehau’s deep bottom rail section, which was developed to complement the original window system, as a flush door sash. We believe the deep bottom rail system only compliments an already very capable Heritage system.
“The slimmer sightlines enabled by the flush fit design, combined with SFS’s subtle door hinge hardware, means the Rio door will continue the range’s reputation for visually pleasing frames. Furthermore, the fact the door is compatible with Rehau’s extensive range of foils, from Simply White to Traditional, wood-equivalent Turner Oak and the modern look offered by anthracite grey, validates its pertinence across different housing types and offers real curb appeal.
From a security aspect we will be offering the Rio doors to a full PAS 24 specification as standard. Having been tested to a maximum of 1900 x 2250mm, the system will cover the majority of openings. This makes it ideal for the new build market as well as replacements, without the need for additional and costly security upgrades to meet regulations.
“The new Rio flush fit door has been designed to allow installers and manufacturers the opportunity to expand the appeal of the popular window system with door options,” Jason concludes. “Yet as well as this distinct, appealing, and bespoke look, the door also provides the durability, energy efficiency and security benefits associated with the window frame. Fenestration professionals can therefore offer this door solution with peace-of-mind that it is not only easy to fit and aesthetically pleasing, but also provides leading performance levels too.”
With Jason as the new National Sales Manager, Astraseal are on a firm footing to further improve their product range and their support to installers, from great marketing materials to new online ordering. They have also invested in improving energy efficiency and continue to champion their recycling programme, taking their environmental responsibilities as a leading manufacturer seriously.
